Yard Maintenance

One schedule for the whole yard.

Yard maintenance is our regular visit with everything folded in. The lawn is mowed at the height its grass needs, the edges are cut, the trimmer goes around everything the mower misses, and the beds get a look on the way out. If mulch has thinned or washed off a slope, if a shrub is leaning into the walk, or if grass has crept into a bed, we catch it during the visit instead of letting it turn into a weekend project for you. Walks and the driveway are blown clean before we leave.

The work follows the calendar. Clemson Extension says bermudagrass and centipede lawns inland may not green up until mid-May, and its Upstate column puts the last frost between mid-April and mid-May, so early visits are about clearing out dead winter material. Summer is steady mowing, with the height raised in hot, dry spells as Clemson's calendars advise. Then the leaves come down. Clemson suggests chopping a light layer with the mower and removing heavier cover so it does not smother the grass.

Tall fescue keeps its own rhythm. Clemson's tall fescue calendar holds the mower at three inches from December through February and says to keep the lawn clear of debris, leaves included, all winter. Shade changes things too. Clemson notes that a spot with less than four hours of sun a day is too shady for grass to grow well, and it suggests a groundcover where turf will not hold. We can plant that bare patch and mulch it, so it stops being the one ugly spot in the yard.

07 / FAQ

Yard Maintenance questions, answered.

A mowing visit covers the lawn: the cut, the edges, the trimming and the blowing. Yard maintenance adds the rest of the yard on the same schedule, such as touching up beds, keeping shrubs off the walks and clearing leaves in the fall. It suits anyone who would rather not think about the yard at all.

Yes. Fall is leaf season, and Clemson Extension says thick leaves left on a lawn can smother it, so fall visits shift toward leaf cleanup. Tall fescue stays green through the cool months, and Clemson's calendar keeps it mowed at three inches and clear of leaves from December through February.

Call or text (864) 540-5167. We come out, walk the yard with you and put together a quote for regular visits. Once you are on the schedule, you do not have to call each time. We show up on the day we agreed and handle what the season calls for.

It depends on the size of the yard and what it needs, so we come out and give you a straight quote first. Our customers call our prices competitive and affordable.
